Dr. Mona Schnaittacher studied law at the University of Cologne. After passing her first state examination in law in 1994, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Cologne, where she earned her PhD in law. During her legal clerkship (Referendariat) at the Regional Court of Appeal she worked in 1997 as Foreign Associate for the US law firm Brown & Wood in New York City (today Sidley Austin). After her admission to the bar in 1998 in Cologne, Mona joined Andersen Legal (today Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH), the legal branch of Arthur Andersen, one of the formerly “Big Five” accounting firms.
During her 13 years with Andersen/ Luther Mona advised on corporate law, Mergers and Acquisitions, public commercial law, privatizations, reorganizations, private and public investment projects, and the formation of strategic and operational partnerships in the private and public sector.
In 2012 Mona started her own law firm and advises today mainly in the areas of corporate law, Mergers & Acquisitions (Corporate/ M&A). The latter comprises the execution of the complete transaction process, i.e its legal, contractual as well as financial structuring, its negotiation, and its implementation. Mona renders legal advice to both strategic as well as financial investors and is supervisory board member of I-D Media AG.
